William "Pat" Schuber - Professor
ChiefTalk is proud to welcome Professor William "Pat" Schuber to the podcast.
Pat is currently a Clinical Professor, School of Public and Global Affairs (SPGA), Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Previously, he served as County Executive of Bergen County for 12 years. In that capacity he was responsible for a budget of more than $200 million dollars, 2,000 employees and 8 government departments, whic covered matters involving finance, law, education, police, fire and EMT training, roads and bridges, parks and recreation and health and human services.
Pat also served 9 years as a member of the New Jersey Assembly, as mayor of Bogota, a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and is a retired US Army captain.
At Fairleigh Dickinson University he teaches courses in Leadership, Government, Homeland Security, Law, Ethics, and Communication. He frequenty instructs at the NJSACOP Police Executive Institute and the NJSACOP Foundation for Senior Leadership course.
Pat is also the primary facilitator for the NJSACOP Leadership Staff Ride Seminars, including the Gettysburg, Antietam, Trenton, Princeton, Monmouth Courthouse, and Brandywine programs, as well as in Normandy/D-Day and Battle of the Bulge Leadership Experiences.
He is a frequent lecturerer on military history, historical leadership, homeland security, ethics, communication and conflict resolution to numerous civic groups.
Pat is a longtime collaborator and instructor for the NJSACOP, and has played, and continues to play, a key roll in the Association's outstanding portfolio of executive professional development programs and courses.
