CHIEF TALK: Episode #12

A Partnership for Change

A Partnership for Change (APFC) is a New Jersey-based private, non-profit organization dedicated to ending family abuse and intimate partner violence.

The organization provides training throughout the state on domestic violence and dating abuse, running very effective prevention and awareness programs since 2007.

Since 2010, APFC has been providing this type of training through PREP (Police Response Enhancement Program).  To date, this VAWA-funded program has allowed us to have trained more than 3,000 police officers, Assistant Prosecutors and Victim Advocates from 239 departments in 19 counties and has been very well received.  They offer five different classes; Understanding the Victim; Effects of DV on Children; Teen Dating Abuse;  Lethality and Non-fatal Strangulation and Insights to Batterer Behavior.

Chief Talk is proud to welcome Allison Bressler and Susan Gleeson from a Partnership for Change to the podcast.
